Job summary

Johnson Controls Security Products is seeking a highly motivated Area Sales Manager for Western Canada. This role leads a team of Manufacturer Representatives to meet monthly quotas and requires 50% travel across Alberta and British Columbia, based in Alberta or BC (Calgary or Edmonton preferred).

You will build dealer partnerships, manage sales activities, forecast, and represent the brands at regional events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in sales within commercial Security Product industry (Access Control and/or Video Surveillance).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated success in sales channel management including distribution.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation and listening skills.
• Ability to manage existing and forge new strategic relationships with executive stakeholders across the region.
• Highly motivated and self-driven leader.
• 50% travel expected throughout Western Canada, mainly Alberta and British Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute strategies to strengthen Johnson Controls’ relationships with Dealers, Distributors, Specifiers / A&E's and 3rd party tech partners in Western Canada.
• Develop new dealer partnerships and promote all brands.
• Management and reporting of all sales activities, pipeline and forecasting.
• Provide timely and accurate information relative to sales performance and market conditions.
• Represent Johnson Controls Security Products at industry events and tradeshows.
