Job description
Overview

Security professionals are sought after to join our team as Full Time Security Officers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement and enforce security policies with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrate an open-minded approach when interacting with diverse community members.
  • Provide timely assistance to visitors and employees during crisis situations, contacting emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain property safety by verifying security measures function correctly.
  • Conduct proactive patrols (interior and exterior) to address policy breaches and note facility concerns.
  • Respond promptly to security alarms and emergencies, preventing panic among the public.
  • De-escalate crises, provide support, and collaborate with emergency personnel including police, fire, and paramedic resources.
  • Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries efficiently.
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required to any individual.
  • Develop positive relationships with staff and external clients through prompt and accurate support.
  • Perform assigned duties and tasks by the Security Leadership team and respond to client directions accordingly.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Valid Security License for Ontario.
  • First Aid & CPR Level C certification from a reputable provider.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in security-related roles preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, Municipal laws and By-laws.
  • Ability to walk / stand / climb stairs for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Certification in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) or willingness to complete Paladin's training program prior to onboarding.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
