Job summary

The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board is seeking an IT School Technician (1.0 FTE Permanent) to support IT systems across multiple school locations. Under the Manager of Information Technology, you will provide on-site and remote support, manage tickets, and help ensure reliable services.

A degree or diploma in Information Technology and strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• This position requires a degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong customer service, attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with MDM, Chrome OS, Windows, and help desk systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to staff and students.
• Manage and document support tickets in the board's help desk system.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Configure and support devices, software, and systems per board standards.
• Participate in system-wide device deployments.
• Collaborate with IT teammates to meet department goals.
• Support AV and technical needs of events.
• Contribute to IT projects and stay current with technologies.
