Job summary

The City of Thunder Bay is seeking an IT Client Services Assistant to provide Tier 1 end-user support for corporate information systems. Under supervision, you handle software/OS queries, document resolutions, and assist with training and asset management. Occasional on-site support and access provisioning are included.

Candidates should have a degree or diploma in computer science or information systems, plus the ability to communicate clearly and work under pressure while following procedures.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in computer science or information systems as a minimum.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Experience in help desk or IT support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 IT client support for corporate systems.
• Document each support call and resolution in the Call Management System.
• Assist with software installations and asset management.
• Provide on-site IT support as required.
