Job summary

Dollco Print Solutions Group is hiring a Scheduler/Planner to join the Scheduling & Planning team. The role focuses on developing cost‑effective job plans, maintaining production equipment schedules, and delivering capacity forecasts in a fast‑paced print environment while upholding core values.

The ideal candidate has a background in graphic arts, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to coordinate across multiple departments to ensure on‑time production and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communications, College Diploma, or equivalent post‑secondary education in a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Graphic Arts industry, pre‑press, production planning, or a fast‑paced print environment.
  • Extensive experience using computer software and planning tools, with a proven ability to toggle between multiple programs (e.g., PrintFlow).

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed, cost‑effective pricing and job plans using planning software based on project specs, deadlines, and machine parameters.
  • Create and communicate daily production schedules across all production machinery, with weekly and monthly demand/capacity forecasts.
  • Manage job movements and load balancing in PrintFlow to optimize production efficiency across divisions.
  • Monitor delivery timelines, inform teams of delays, and provide workback schedules for inquiries on new work.
  • Monitor subcontracting, procurement, and material readiness for scheduled runs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to confirm mandatory processes and client expectations.
  • Lead daily/quarterly production and contract review meetings and communicate schedule changes clearly to operations.

SUMMARY

We are hiring a Scheduler/Planner, to join our Scheduling & Planning team. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to team safety and well being, being respectful, and acting with integrity. We strive for excellence in everything we do! The ideal candidate will have experience in developing cost‑effective job plans, creating/maintaining production equipment schedules, managing load balancing in PrintFlow software, and delivering capacity forecasts in a fast‑paced print environment, and will align with our core values and company culture.

AS A SCHEDULER/PLANNER, YOU WILL MAKE YOUR IMPACT BY:

Assessing, reviewing, and developing detailed, cost‑effective pricing and job plans using planning software based on project specifications, deadlines, and machine parameters.

Creating, maintaining, and communicating daily production schedules across all production machinery, along with weekly and monthly demand and capacity forecasts.

Managing job movements and load balancing in PrintFlow software to optimize production efficiency across all divisions.

Monitoring job delivery timelines, informing production teams when deadlines are delayed, and providing workback schedules for inquiries on new work.

Monitoring subcontracting, procurement, and material readiness required for scheduled runs.

Collaborating with internal stakeholders and cross‑functional departments to confirm and validate mandatory job processes and client expectations.

Attending and leading daily/quarterly production and contract review meetings, communicating schedule changes clearly to operational teams.

Utilizing established workflows to ensure smooth job processing throughout the plant while proactively addressing potential challenges.

YOU CAN EXCEL AS A SCHEDULER/PLANNER IF YOU HAVE:

Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communications, College Diploma, or equivalent post‑secondary education in a related field.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Graphic Arts industry, pre‑press, production planning, or a fast‑paced print environment.

Extensive experience using computer software and planning tools, with a proven ability to toggle between multiple programs (e.g., PrintFlow).

Mastery in problem‑solving, critical thinking, decision‑making, and proactive roadblock identification.

Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and demonstrated analytical and mathematical capabilities.

Self‑disciplined, action‑oriented, and customer‑focused approach with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, working both independently and collaboratively.

High technical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and print scheduling software.

Strong technical understanding of press operations, finishing, and bindery processes to accurately build job plans and schedule equipment limits.
