We are hiring a Print Production Planner at our Scarborough facility.

This posting is intended to fill a current vacancy at Max Solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement production plans for manufacturing, considering factors such as customer orders, production capacity, and material availability
  • Create and maintain a production schedule that maximizes efficiency and meets delivery timelines
  • Analyze customer demand patterns, sales forecasts, and historical data to anticipate future folding carton requirements
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service to ensure accurate demand forecasting and proper inventory management
  • Work closely with procurement to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials, such as paperboard, inks, adhesives, and coatings
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely material replenishment to avoid production delays
  • Allocate production resources based on production requirements and capacity constraints
  • Optimize resource utilization to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency
  • Monitor the progress of the production line, identify potential bottlenecks or issues, and take proactive measures to minimize disruptions
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience in production planning, preferably in the packaging or printing industry
  • Strong understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and inventory control principles
  • Proficient in using production planning software and tools. Experience with ERP systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, with experience using formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing priorities
