The Sales Support Officer is responsible for providing superior service and administrative support to the International Private Banking (IPB) Sales Team. The incumbent possesses a thorough knowledge of the Bank’s commercial and retail products and services, and their primary focus is to assist with documentation, monitoring, compliance and ensuring established requirements are met to mitigate risk for the Bank.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Bank’s Commercial and Retail Banking products and services to be positioned to meet client’s ongoing needs
  • Respond promptly and effectively to requests, concerns, and complaints from clients, IPB Sales Officers, IPB Manager and Manager of Client Service
  • Provide a high degree of service and support combined with innovative approaches to resolving International Private Banking Client, Sales Officers, Centre, or service issues while maintaining an overall low risk profile for the Bank
  • Take full responsibility for all client inquiries/concerns/complaints by resolving those matters within their discretion to the client’s satisfaction or by referring the client to the appropriate source
  • Ensure all Business Authentication requirements are adhered to protect the integrity of the client and Bank information
  • Complete returns/reporting requirements accurately and submit to the appropriate authority in a timely manner
  • Complete all function-specific documentation accurately as per Bank standards to protect both the organization and the International Private Banking Unit
  • Provide timely and meaningful client information and/or analysis to IPB Sales Officers
  • Accurately process daily transactions and Service Requests from Salesforce originated by the IPB Team
  • Check/authorize transactions with approved limits
  • Execute necessary corrections as identified through exception reporting
  • Assist with implementing changes to operation procedures and systems to increase efficiency and meet Bank regulations
  • Comply with regulatory requirements as part of the service process, including Know Your Client (KYC), Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC), Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC), Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing (AML/ATF), Privacy and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) requirements, processes, and guidelines as well as SSI guidelines/processes
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
  • Diploma in Business Administration
  • Previous work experience in banking specifically in Sales or Operations is required
  • Strong PC and Keyboarding Skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Sensitivity to client needs and privacy
  • High degree of flexibility to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and functions
  • An ability to work independently and confidently within the assigned authority and limits
  • Spanish is an asset
