About the Role

We’re looking for a driven Sales Representative & Product Developer to support and grow Enza Zaden’s presence in Western Canada. In this Level 1 role, you will help maximize sales within the assigned customer base, support product development from introduction onward, and play a key role in launching new varieties across key high‑tech greenhouse crops.

This is a home‑office role based in British Columbia, with regular travel across BC and Alberta and limited international travel (approx. one trip per year).

What You’ll Do
Sales & Market Development
  • Manage and grow sales within the assigned customer group, meeting revenue targets and overseeing pricing, forecasting, and budget responsibility.
  • Develop and execute customer plans aligned with tactical sales strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with growers, plantraisers, dealers, and purchasing managers across Western Canada.
Product Development & Technical Support
  • Stay current on the Enza Zaden product range and provide technical support to customers to ensure successful crop performance.
  • Identify promising new experimental varieties through local screenings and global breeding insights.
  • Support the decision‑making process for new variety introductions.
Trial Management & New Variety Launches
  • Develop and execute trial plans, ensuring trial seed and materials are supplied and managed effectively.
  • Partner with customers to set up trials, position new products, and gather reliable market feedback.
  • Track competitor activities and report opportunities or threats to Sales Management.

  • Other Sales Rep’s and PD’s – working together and in conjunction with the Canada team.
  • Customer Service – Mutual information sharing and operational coordination.
  • Product Manager – Joint planning for new variety introductions and market feedback.
  • Breeding Teams – Reporting on evaluations and trial outcomes.
  • Subsidiary Sales Manager – Alignment, strategic direction, and reporting.
External Contacts
  • Customers, key growers, plantraisers, dealers, and purchasers across Western Canada.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree (Agriculture, Business, or related field).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong customer orientation and sales drive.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and collaboration skills.
  • Agricultural/greenhouse background strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently (40%) across Western Canada, must be an eligible driver under our insurance policy.
Working Conditions
  • Moderate technical product complexity.
  • Focus on new business development and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Estimated Pay: $90,000 - $100, 000 The starting salary will be offered in good‑faith, based on role level, skill, and Canadian market data.
This position is Eligible to participate in the bonus plan.
