Job summary

EMSL Canada is seeking a Sales Assistant to be based in Ottawa, Ontario. The role focuses on customer support and lead generation, working with complex systems and CRM tools in a fast-paced environment.

The position is full-time, on-site, with regular hours and a structured workday; prior customer-service experience and strong communication are valued. Applications from local candidates are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Two years of work experience in a customer-service setting.
• Ability to interface with clients and foster relationships.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Proficient with CRM databases and order/shopping cart systems.
• Willingness to learn and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with incoming and outbound calls and emails to customers.
• Troubleshoot issues related to due dates, reports, pricing, invoices, and scheduling.
• Arrange or set up client appointments for Account Manager.
• Generate and qualify leads by making outbound calls to prospects.
• Data entry and maintenance of hotlists, communications, and documents in our CRM.
• Create and send follow-up marketing materials, sales proposals, and quotes.
