Job summary

Long & McQuade Limited is seeking a retail associate in Halifax to help customers through sales and rental of musical instruments and gear. You will define customer needs, demonstrate products, and explain features to drive informed purchases.

You will also handle calls, follow up on orders, and maintain product knowledge while contributing to store merchandising and team meetings. Prior retail or sales experience is a plus, and weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument.
• Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
• Positive attitude and steady composure.
• Proven strong work ethic and commitment.
• High energy and enthusiasm; able to lift and carry large boxes.
• Able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to recommend solutions confidently.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in retail or sales is an asset.
