Job summary

Long & McQuade Limited is seeking a customer-facing associate in Port Coquitlam to assist customers with purchasing and renting musical instruments and gear. You will determine needs, demonstrate products, and provide guidance on features and benefits in a busy retail setting.

Ideal candidates are musicians with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work weekdays, weeknights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument.
• Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
• Proven strong work ethic and commitment.

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Demonstrate recommended products to customers and explain their features and benefits
• Answer telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
• Follow up on product orders with customers and suppliers
• Use our common sense approach with customers to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of our products, policies and procedures
• Attend weekly staff meetings and periodic training sessions
• Merchandise store to create an inviting environment for customers to shop
• Participate in store maintenance, warehouse duties, and other related tasks
