Job summary

Long & McQuade Limited in Laval, Quebec is seeking a store sales associate to help customers through the selling and renting of musical instruments and gear, define customer needs, and demonstrate product features.

You will answer calls, follow up on orders, keep product knowledge current, and merchandise the store to create an inviting shopping environment. Candidates must be a musician, able to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends, with energy and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced setting.

• Define the individual needs of every customer and match those needs with the right combination of our products and services
• Demonstrate recommended products to customers and explain their features and benefits
• Answer telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
• Follow up on product orders with customers and suppliers
• Use our common sense approach with customers to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of our products, policies and procedures
• Attend weekly staff meetings and periodic training sessions
• Merchandise store to create an inviting environment for customers to shop
• Participate in store maintenance, warehouse duties, and other related tasks

Job Requirements

• Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument
• Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends
