The Sales Analyst will be engaged in delivering ‘best in class’ analysis for products related to retail POS, investments, and market trends, specifically focused on Amazon. This role interacts as a part of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to assess the overall health of the business. The Sales Analyst will be involved with customer meeting preparation and supporting sales in the overall business strategy by proactively identifying opportunities, analyzing promotions / pricing and potential market threats. As a key partner in sales, this role also contributes as a player in assessing competitor opportunities and reporting competitor market insights weekly with actions and recommendations when necessary. In addition, the Sales Analyst includes working with internal product teams in assessing assortment productivity and long-term strategy planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with assortment and promotion planning recommendations through analytical research
  • Assist with support in leading cross-functional meetings to improve sales and profitability
  • Assist with promotional plans by measuring ROI and margin productivity
  • Assist with weekly competitor category analytics, share results, and sku level rankings
  • Deliver Daily/Weekly/Monthly analytics reports showing health of business
  • Analyze and evaluate pre and post promotion analyses for retailer, quantifying impact to brand and category as directed by manager
  • Understand day to day impact of the POS to facilitate decision making with supervisory guidance
  • Assist with visibility to key product launches
  • In-store visits to assess on shelf presence
  • Identify, measure, and quantify marketplace/ retailer trends, issues, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales directors to support retailer meetings

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience within a strategic sales environment
  • Amazon analytical experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented with respect to ensuring deadlines are met
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel/Office skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
