If you enjoy working independently and operating a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions, you’re ready for a rewarding career. Job Responsibilities
  • Sort, collect and deliver mail items safely and timely.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure – roads, customers and delivery receptacles.
  • Ensure mail is safely secured in your possession.
  • Process CPC products and services (Change of Address Notification, Damaged Mail, Items Delivered Bill (IDB), etc.).
  • Wear Canada Post identification while delivering and ensuring its visibility.
  • Lift and carry items up to 50 lb (22.7 kg).
  • Have experience delivering and operating a motor vehicle in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions.
Vehicle Requirements
  • Valid safe driving record.
  • Valid permanent provincial driver’s license – class 5 or G.
  • Minimum cargo capacity 50 cu ft (1415 liters).
  • Automatic transmission.
  • Power windows.
  • Metal roof‑top and accessory power outlet for Canada Post sign and flashing light.
  • Middle passenger window sill between 38” and 45” from ground and maximum interior width of 56”.
  • Fifth door/hatchback to allow oversized and bulky items (preferred).
  • Provide and maintain required automobile liability insurance for vehicle use.
  • Notify insurance company of vehicle use while employed at Canada Post.
