Job summary

The Cove Lakeside Resort in West Kelowna, BC, a luxury all-suite property, is hiring a Room Attendant to maintain clean and comfortable guest rooms and deliver outstanding service. You will strip, clean, restock and report maintenance needs while upholding the resort's high cleanliness standards.

This permanent, part-time role offers a wage of CA$21.85 per hour plus summer incentives, with weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Strip vacant guest rooms and remove dirty linens, towels and trash.
  • Clean guest rooms to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Restock toiletries, linens and supplies efficiently.
  • Inspect room furnishings and report damages or maintenance needs.
  • Return carts to their place and assist with deep cleaning as required.
  • Provide exceptional guest service and address questions or concerns.

OVERVIEW

The Room Attendant is responsible for providing our guests a clean and comfortable room, while achieving high standards of cleanliness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Strip vacant guest rooms of bedding, towels, garbage etc.
  • Clean guest rooms as allocated achieving exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times.
  • Replenish room supplies including toiletries, linen and terry in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Inspect condition of all room furnishings, draperies, hotel provided kitchen house wares and supplies including, coffee makers, dishes, cutlery, etc.
  • Report all damages and/or require maintenance.
  • Report all lost and found following Resort procedures.
  • Return and restock carts at the end of shift.
  • Carryout deep cleaning as required.
  • Provide guests with exceptional customer services when addressing questions, concerns or complaints
  • Perform duties of House Attendant or Public Spaces Attendant as required.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Works well under pressure, can multi-task and is able to prioritize.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail.
  • Self-starter, with time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of WHIMS and chemical use.
  • Flexible, efficient and punctual.
  • Able to work independently, or team environment.
  • Perform the duties of the House Attendant or Public Spaces Attendant as required.
  • Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
  • Able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended periods of time.
  • Qualified applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and, where applicable, possess a valid work or study permit that allows the candidate to fulfill the requirements of the role.

Wage: $21.85 per hour plus summer incentivebonus.

Schedule: Part Time- including weekends and holidays
