Job summary

Alight Solutions Ltd in Canada is seeking a compassionate Worker's Compensation Case Manager to support employees through their return-to-work process. You will evaluate obstacles to prompt recovery and coordinate with stakeholders to implement effective return-to-work plans.

You will also monitor cases, liaise with provincial Boards, and coordinate rehabilitation strategies to minimize time-loss and costs while ensuring compliant, timely outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in workers’ compensation claims management or similar.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Education in related field; HR/health & safety or insurance cert-designation are assets.
• Paralegal license required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to address workplace injuries.
• Manage workplace injury claims reducing time-loss and costs through early intervention.
• Maintain open communication with clients, injured workers, and provincial Workers’ Compensation Boards.
• Liaise with provincial Workers’ Compensation Boards.
• Review claim files and monitor progress.
• Interpret provincial workers’ compensation legislation, policies and procedures.
• File injury reports, identify appeal issues, draft letters of objection.
• Coordinate case management activities including return to work and rehabilitation strategies.
• Facilitate third-party interventions (functional capacity evaluations, independent medical evaluations).
