Job summary

Dollarama in Oliver, BC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and reach sales goals.

You will oversee merchandising, staff planning, cash handling, and opening/closing duties, while training and developing employees and ensuring policy compliance. This role offers a stimulating team environment with competitive compensation and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Help with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management, and store opening/closing duties.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
