Job summary

Dollarama in Shawinigan, QC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, ensure customer satisfaction, and achieve sales goals. The role also acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.

You will assist with operations and staff management, merchandising, stocking, and handling daily shipments, while training and coaching employees and managing cash, opening and closing the store.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Help with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and store opening/closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
