Job summary

Dollarama in Canada is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in running daily retail operations and driving sales while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will help with merchandising, staff coaching, training, and performance management, and step in as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is away.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in retail.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Merchandising, stocking, and processing shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash handling, opening/closing duties.
• Assign tasks and maintain store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct performance evaluations and give feedback.
• Ensure policies and safety standards are followed.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Assist with hiring and performance management.
