Job Description

Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits

Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies

Evaluate daily operations

Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget

Monitor staff performance

Plan and organize daily operations

Train staff

Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms

Conduct performance reviews

Cost products and services

Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations

Organize and maintain inventory

Ensure health and safety regulations are followed

Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies

Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities

Participate in marketing plans and implementation

Leading/instructing individuals

Address customers’ complaints or concerns

Provide customer service

Requirements

Education:Completion of secondary school OR other programs related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is required.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, is required. If the candidate does not have at least 2 years of experience, a post-secondary certificate related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is required.

Salary:$36.00 hourly, 35 to 45 hours per week

Important Information:Flexibility on schedule is required. The worker will need to work shifts between 7:00 am and 12:00 am. Work on weekends, holidays and overtime will be required. On call work required depending on the business needs.
