About the job Assistant Manager (Full time)

We are currently seeking applicants for a Assistant Manager Full Timeposition to assist our client. We welcome you to submit your application, if you are interested.

Remuneration is salaried and will depend on experience

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide management of all aspects of effective Pub operations during scheduled shifts
  • Effective use and daily management of of POS system.
  • Positive & effective guest interaction ensuring guest service is your main focus while monitoring and enforcing standards for individual staff performance
  • Provide positive, effective leadership, direction, coaching and feedback for all team members
  • Assist with training and ongoing development of team members
  • Assist management with recruiting, interviewing and hiring talented team members to ensure proper staffing levels
  • Provide assistance & support when needed with all restaurant duties
Qualifications
  • Preferred 2+ years experience managing foodservice or restaurant operations; including full-bar operations
  • Private, franchise or branded casual restaurant management experience highly desirable.
  • Silverware POS experience an asset
  • Great organizational skills and the ability to follow instruction and to competently see projects through to completion
  • Ability to effectively influence through knowledge, relationship management, and trust.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, exercising good judgment. Ability to handle conflict and effectively resolve all situations with clients, customers and peers.
  • You have integrity, great people-management skills, good delegation skills and an approachable personable manner.
  • You are energetic, self-confident, a creative solutions provider, excellent decision-maker, independent thinker and multi-tasker.
  • You believe in the power of teamwork
Requirements
  • Professional appearance, interpersonal, teaching and motivational skills and ability to multi-task required at all times
  • Non-smoking/vaping environment for all staff while on property
  • Excellent customer service, communication and written skills required (English)
  • Cash & payment handling - must be bondable.(No criminal record) Police check will be conducted and paid for by employer
  • Conditions of hire must be agreed to prior to consideration
  • Flexible schedule of days, evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, walk, carry, climb stairs, stand for long periods
  • Must be legal to work in Canada.
