Job Description

We are seeking passionate and driven individuals to take on the role of Restaurant or Café Manager.

We are hiring for multiple positions across locations in Australia outside of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

As our next Restaurant or Café Manager, you will:

  1. Ensure Team Members greet guests and escort them to tables
  2. Schedule dining reservations
  3. Train and monitor Food and Beverage Attendants and ensure service standards are met
  4. Ensure accurate recording and verification of Team Member time records
  5. Manage all Team Members in all aspects of the daily operation of the outlet, providing the necessary assistance where required
  6. Ensure that approved service sequences and standards are established and maintained at all times
  7. Ensure that all opening and closing procedures are carried out to an acceptable standard and supervise outlet
  8. Maintain efficient operating procedures for the outlet’s point of sale cashiering computer system, ensuring accuracy and balancing of till and the department cash float
  9. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and care of all equipment and materials; and ensure security of outlet
  10. Promptly report any maintenance work required to the Manager and/or maintenance department
  11. Maintain all outlet stock levels
  12. Conduct daily briefings
  13. Complete the Restaurant daily log book
  14. Develop training plans and conduct on and off the job training sessions for all outlet Team Members
  15. Attend all scheduled food and beverage and other relevant meetings when required
  16. Monitor outlets manpower, payroll budget, control costs and maximize profitability
  17. Take extreme care with personal grooming in order to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance and monitor service personnel’s appearance and grooming
  18. Be punctual, efficient, and courteous at all times with guests and fellow Team Members alike
  19. Be aware of own work schedule and always provide adequate notice when circumstances prevent one from adhering to that schedule
  20. Handle all guest complaints immediately, courteously and satisfactorily
  21. Ensure all guests are greeted & escorted to their allocated tables when possible
  22. Assist with conducting performance appraisals of subordinates as instructed
  23. Perform other duties as may be prescribed from time to time due to operational needs
Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  1. A strong communicator with well-developed stakeholder management skills
  2. The ability to balance multiple priorities and act with a sense of urgency, whilst remaining calm under pressure
  3. The possession of a valid RSA
  4. 5-star hotel background as a Supervisor/Manager in a food service field
  5. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize in order to meet allocated timelines and budgets
  6. The ability to remain calm when under pressure
  7. The ability to work a flexible roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

Annual Base Salary: $73,359.00 - $77,000 (gross)
