The Developmental Disabilities Association (DDA) is a leading employer in BC’s social services sector. With over 50 community-based programs and services for children, youths, and adults in Vancouver and Richmond, we offer superior programs and services to enable people with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential. The Respite Coordinator assists in the development and promotion of a range of respite and home share services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Location:Vancouver, BC
Start Date:January 19, 2026
Term/Status:Permanent Full Time
Schedule/Hours:Flex-time // 37.5 hours per week
Hourly Wage:$36.84 as per collective agreement

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Social Work, Degree in Social Sciences or other combination of education and experience relevant to job goal.
  • Minimum two years of experience in the provision of resource services to families with a member who has multiple disabilities.
  • Assessment, Counselling, and Public Relations skills experience.

Standard requirements of the Respite Coordinator include:

  • Criminal Record Clearance
  • Medical Clearance
  • Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
  • Class 5 Driver’s Licence and use of a vehicle for work
  • Valid First Aid/CPR
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification
  • Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
  • Digital literacy and proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Salesforce, and Office 365 Applications
  • Eligible to work in Canada
