Job summary

Gestion Zagora in Montréal is seeking a Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our Montréal portfolio, maintain strong tenant and vendor relationships, and drive the properties’ operational and financial performance.

You will supervise maintenance, coordinate vendors and contractors, inspect units, track requests, manage leases, monitor rent collection, and prepare reports with the Leasing, Accounting and Maintenance teams; on-site Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in property management, business administration, management or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in property management.
• Excellent French and good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned properties.
• Maintain professional relationships with tenants and follow up on their requests, concerns and complaints.
• Supervise maintenance, repairs and service work.
• Coordinate vendors, contractors and maintenance technicians.
• Inspect properties regularly to keep quality and cleanliness high.
• Track maintenance requests and make sure they are resolved on time.
• Oversee move-ins, move-outs and lease renewals with the Leasing team.
• Keep lease, notice, tenant and property records complete and up to date.
• Monitor rent collection, accounts receivable and files needing follow-up.
• Help prepare and track property budgets, and find savings in operating expenses.
• Review and approve property invoices according to internal procedures.
• Prepare management reports and track key performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with Québec laws and residential tenancy rules.
• Identify improvement, renovation and preventive maintenance needs.
• Work with the Accounting, Leasing, Maintenance and Management teams.
