Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support residents' dietary needs, ensuring meals are appealing and served in a welcoming atmosphere. You will assist with setup, preparation, serving and cleanup of all meal services, reporting to the Director or Dietary Manager.

Salary: CAD 18.73 per hour with health benefits and paid time off. Must have Food Handler's Certificate; experience with seniors is a plus.

Qualifications

Food Handler's Certificate is required.
Preference for experience in food service with seniors.
Must be enrolled in or have completed Food Service Worker Training Program.

Responsibilities

Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Assist in setup and preparation for service of items such as beverages, salads and desserts.
Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
Assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery after each seating.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area.
Assist with catering and participate in special events and theme days.
Assist in orientation and training of new dietary employees.
Follow health and safety legislation and department procedures.
Comply with provincial regulations and department policies.
