Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Dietary Aide to support residents in healthcare facilities by preparing and serving meals according to dietary plans. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and compassionate service.

You will follow food safety guidelines, assist with basic food prep, keep dining areas clean, and work well in a team to meet residents' needs in a respectful, efficient manner.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Experience as a dietary aide or in hospitality and customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to prepare meals according to instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation and serve meals according to therapeutic diets and portion standards.
• Setting, clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing dining spaces.
• Maintain and perform cleaning duties or follow the posted cleaning schedule.
• Monitor and restock service areas.
• Observe HACCP guidelines to ensure safe handling/preparation methods.
• Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines using chemicals, cleaning, and sanitizing agents.
• Support with special function catering as delegated.
