Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. You will support residents' dietary needs, assist with meal setup, service and cleanup, reporting to the Director or Dietary Manager, and help ensure residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience.

This role emphasizes teamwork, high standards of cleanliness, and adherence to health and safety legislation. Preference given to those with food service experience and a Food Handler's Certificate;

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Experience in food service and working with seniors preferred.
• Must be physically able to lift and stand for long periods.
• Must provide Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional manner.
• Assist in setup and preparation for meal service.
• Set and clear tables; deliver tray service.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining and kitchen areas.
• Assist with dishware cleaning and sanitation.
• Support catering and special events.
• Participate in orientation and training of new dietary staff.
• Follow health and safety regulations and department policies.
