Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote Victim Support Advocate to provide immediate and ongoing support to trauma survivors from home. The role is entirely remote and requires empathy, discretion, and crisis intervention skills.

You will guide victims through rights, legal processes, and access to counseling, medical care, and financial aid, while documenting interactions and coordinating with courts or police when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in victim services, social work, or related field.
• Strong understanding of trauma and crisis intervention techniques.
• Excellent empathetic listening and communication.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate emotional support and crisis intervention via phone, chat, and video.
• Inform victims about rights, legal processes, and available services.
• Assist victims in accessing counseling, medical care and financial aid.
• Accompany victims to court proceedings or police interviews (virtual or in person).
• Maintain confidential and accurate records of all interactions.
• Advocate for victims' needs within justice and support systems.
