Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Build & Release Support Engineer based in Canada, remotely. You will maintain build, release, and CI/CD systems used across a global engineering organization, providing developer-facing support to resolve failures, optimize pipelines, and manage artifacts.

You’ll work with Maven, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Artifactory/Nexus, and cloud-native tooling, improving troubleshooting processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Build/Release, DevOps, SRE, or related experience.
• Strong experience with Git and CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Hands-on Maven/Gradle, Artifactory/Nexus, and deployment tools (Spinnaker or equivalent).
• Solid Linux/Unix CLI skills with Python and/or Bash for automation.
• Familiarity with Docker; Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of software supply chain, builds, artifacts, and release processes.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support through Slack and tickets.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot CI/CD and release failures.
• Investigate issues with Maven/Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Artifactory/Nexus.
• Manage incidents with root-cause analysis and clear communication.
• Prepare precise escalations with logs, steps, and context.
• Maintain technical documentation and runbooks for self-service support.
• Monitor SLAs, ticket quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve tooling and delivery workflows.
