Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a mid-level Data Platform Engineer based in Canada. You will transform an existing data and ML platform into a scalable, self-service environment, building deployment pipelines, IaC modules, and reusable tooling to empower engineering teams.

You will collaborate across data engineering, backend, and infrastructure, contribute to reliable systems for a global shipping platform, and progressively own platform tooling roadmap within six months.

Qualifications

• Experience owning deployment paths end-to-end, from pipeline to runbook.
• 2+ years in software/data/platform/DevOps/infrastructure roles.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for professional tasks.
• Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot unfamiliar codebases.
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud concepts, AWS preferred.
• Willingness to work across data engineering, backend, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment reliability.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code modules.
• Apply data governance standards for data services.
• Build self-service platform tooling and reusable templates.
• Create reusable modules to simplify pipeline creation.
• Document runbooks and troubleshooting guides.
• Own data access workflows and governance processes.
• Progress toward full ownership of template repo and modules.
