Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Manager of Product Development based in Canada. The role leads a multidisciplinary team to deliver modern digital products, modernize legacy systems, and drive strategic product roadmaps in a fully remote setup.

You will coach engineers and product owners, steer Agile practices, and manage external partners to ensure timely delivery, high quality, and scalable solutions across web and mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years hands-on software development with Agile practices.
• 2+ years leading or managing software teams.
• Experience with modern web technologies and legacy systems (Python, Laravel; Java/WebLogic).
• Product ownership or management experience including roadmaps and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary Product Development team across software engineering, product ownership, business analysis, and project delivery.
• Mentor and coach team members, manage performance, and drive professional development.
• Improve Agile practices, backlog management, user stories, release planning, and delivery workflows.
• Provide technical leadership in design discussions, coding, reviews, and architecture decisions.
• Drive modernization from legacy systems to modern stacks while ensuring stability and service delivery.
• Develop and execute the product roadmap in alignment with stakeholders and timelines.
• Own end-to-end solution design for current and future products to improve scalability and UX.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and technical specs.
• Enhance user experience across web and mobile interfaces with design colleagues.
• Oversee project and delivery status, risks, and resource planning for leadership.
• Coordinate with external partners, manage scope, quality, and knowledge transfer.
• Manage contracts and documentation to support decision-making and platform sustainability.
• Foster collaboration across teams and drive ongoing technology and process improvements.
• Proactively manage risk and debt while promoting innovation.
