Job summary

Allstate Insurance Company of Canada is seeking a Catastrophe Claims Advisor to join the National Catastrophe Claims team. You will handle and adjust moderate to high complex claims, provide professional customer service, and guide Claims Assistants.

This is a remote designation role designed to support Canada-wide operations. Responsibilities include investigating and settling complex claims, interpreting policy wordings, and maintaining high customer satisfaction while meeting performance

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience handling medium to large loss complex residential property claims.
• CIP Designation, or currently enrolled.
• Experience adjusting single peril auto claims.
• IICRC Certification, or enrollment.
• HAAG Certification, or enrollment.
• Ability to review, critique, and negotiate reconstruction estimates.
• Proficient with Xactimate and Guidewire.
• High-volume claims experience (125+ pending).
• Bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Investigates, negotiates, and settles medium–high complexity claims by phone and written correspondence.
• Interprets policy wordings, determines coverages and reserves.
• Documents claim files with notes, evaluations, and decisions.
• Ensures prompt and equitable settlements of medium–high complexity claims per processes.
• Processes payments within authority levels.
• Negotiates with insureds, claimants, and insurers.
• Suggests changes to policies, practices, and procedures for improvements.
• Meets productivity and customer service goals for National Claims.
• Communicates empathetically with customers through the claim process.
• Participates in Queue Responsibility.
