Job summary

Allstate Canada Group is hiring a Claim Advisor, Accident Benefits MIG for the Ontario team. The role involves investigating, evaluating and settling accident benefit claims under the Insurance Act.

You will coordinate with claimants and representatives to resolve issues while maintaining comprehensive records in a remote setting. Qualifications include strong communication, 1–2 years of claims experience, healthcare or legal background is a plus, and CIP designation is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with claimants and representatives.
• Experience in medical or legal environments is an asset.
• Post-secondary education or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years adjusting insurance claims or similar role is preferred.
• Enrolment in CIP designation is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate accident benefit claims to determine coverage and resolution.
• Process various types of claims including medical rehabilitation and disability claims, coordinating actions for effective resolution.
• Maintain detailed and accurate file records on the electronic claims system.
• Respond to claimant correspondence and accident benefit forms in compliance with legislation.
• Perform other duties to support the department and organizational goals.
