Weecarehealth is seeking a Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse in Mississauga, ON, to provide care in home environments. The role involves not just fulfilling care plans but also offering comfort and reassurance to pediatric clients and their families.

Qualifications

Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Experience working with pediatric clients required.
Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months.

Responsibilities

Provide G/GJ tube care and management.

Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications.

Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse in Mississauga, ON.

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday; 22:00–08:00

Assignment Dates

October 22 – November 19, 2026

To be considered for this position, applicants must be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule.

General Duties

(specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)

Provide G/GJ tube care and management
Administer and document medications as prescribed, in accordance with CNO medication administration standards
Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications and narcotics
Maintain the child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards
Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
Observe and report changes in the child's condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare
Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids
Demonstrate understanding of the child’s needs and support the child in maximizing their abilities
Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family
Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up
Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including the child’s equipment and belongings
Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to the child’s safety, incidents, or accidents
Complete other duties as assigned
