Job summary

WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care in Dundas, Ontario is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurse to deliver in-home care for pediatric clients. You will provide compassionate support to the child and family, ensure safety, and collaborate with caregivers to maintain a stable home environment.

You will administer medications, manage tube care, assist with daily living activities, and document care in line with CNO standards. A flexible schedule and a supportive team await.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months.
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).

Responsibilities

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management.
• Administer and document medications as prescribed in accordance with CNO standards.
• Monitor and ensure safekeeping of medications and narcotics.
• Maintain the child’s records and required documentation per CNO standards.
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in the child’s condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare.
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids.
• Demonstrate understanding of the child’s needs and support their abilities.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family.
• Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment, including equipment and belongings.
• Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to safety, incidents, or accidents.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Schedule

• Monday & Wednesday, 17:00-22:00 (flexibility to add Tuesday & Thursday as well)

• October 19-November 13, 2026

Please note:To be considered for this position, applicants must be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule.

General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)

Requirements
