Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. in Fergus, ON is seeking a Part-Time Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse to provide compassionate care to pediatric clients in school and home settings.

You will deliver care per plan, collaborate with families, and support children's development, with a schedule including Thursday/Friday early shifts and weekend as needed. This role emphasizes safety, consistency, and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Experience caring for pediatric clients.
• Current BLS certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past 6 months.
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).

Responsibilities

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management.
• Provide seizure care and management.
• Administer and document medications as prescribed, in accordance with CNO medication administration standards.
• Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications and narcotics.
• Maintain the child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards.
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in the child's condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare.
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids.
• Demonstrate understanding of the child’s needs and support the child in maximizing their abilities.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family.
• Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including the child’s equipment and belongings.
• Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to the child’s safety, incidents, or accidents.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Position

Part‑Time Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse in Fergus, ON.

Schedule

• Thursday & Friday: 06:45–20:30
• Saturday: 07:00-15:00, as needed

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI)
