Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a Pediatric Registered Nurse to provide in-home care in Barrie, ON. You will deliver pediatric nursing services, ensure safety, document care, and collaborate with families to support the child's well-being.

The role offers both full-time and part-time options with a consistent schedule, and requires CNO licensure, BLS, and a current VSC and PLI.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Experience caring for pediatric clients, preferably in home settings.
• Current BLS certification.
• VSC completed within the past 6 months.
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) held.

Responsibilities

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management.
• Administer and document medications per plan and standards.
• Monitor and safeguard medications and narcotics.
• Maintain child records per CNO standards.
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes to parent/guardian and WeeCare.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and adaptive aids.
• Support child's cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological needs.

Position

Pediatric Registered Nurse in Barrie, ON.

Schedule

• Sunday-Saturday, 19:00-08:00

• Full-time and part-time positions available. Nurses will be assigned a consistent weekly schedule of 1-3 shifts per week, depending on their availability and the staffing schedule.

General Duties

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management
• Administer and document medications as prescribed, in accordance with CNO medication administration standards
• Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications and narcotics
• Maintain the child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
• Observe and report changes in the child's condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare
• Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids
• Demonstrate understanding of the child's needs and support the child in maximizing their abilities
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family
• Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including the child's equipment and belongings
• Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to the child's safety, incidents, or accidents
• Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Experience working with pediatric clients
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI)
