VON Canada is seeking a Visiting Nurse to deliver holistic, person-centered care in clients' homes, clinics, or virtually, with autonomy and support from a multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to work across ages and settings, emphasizing compassionate care and community health.

This permanent, part-time (0.6 FTE) position requires client assessments, wound care, IV therapy, chronic disease management, and palliative support, with driving to client homes and a competitive

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice.
• Community health experience is an asset.
• Must enjoy driving and have a personal vehicle with a valid licence and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Administer wound care, IV therapy, and manage chronic disease care.

Our Visiting nurses provide client care in the client\'s own home. They provide physical assessments, symptom control support, palliative care, rehabilitation therapy, wound care, education, counselling to individuals and families and much more.

What we\'re looking for

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the province of practice

• A satisfactory Criminal Records Check is required; a Vulnerable Sector Search and/or Child Abuse Registry Check may also be necessary

Working conditions and physical demands

This role requires a detail-oriented approach in a dynamic environment, with physical activity including lifting, carrying (using proper techniques), bending, reaching, kneeling, and other movements that emphasize good body mechanics.
