Job summary

Bison Transport Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to coordinate freight and truck movement within a region. You will handle order entry, provide shipment status updates, and ensure appointments are scheduled efficiently while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires learning new computer systems and a good working knowledge of North American geography. Monday to Friday shifts with potential future schedule adjustments are described.

Qualifications

• Transportation/logistics experience is an asset.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and order entry.

Responsibilities

• Enter designated orders for the assigned region, ensuring all details are updated and ready for dispatch.
• Update customers on shipment status and produce regular status reports for selected accounts.
• Secure and update shipping and delivery appointments with the required lead time.
• Build relationships with shippers and consignees to manage appointment scheduling per customer and Bison’s needs.
• Handle customer inquiries from the general queue in a pleasant and efficient manner.
