Job summary

Bison Transport Inc. is seeking a Fleet Dispatcher to manage day-to-day activity for the driver fleet. You will monitor the fleet, distribute information, and ensure timely updates.

You must be organized, an excellent communicator, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will dispatch, manage driver communications, report incidents, and resolve issues to support efficient operations.

• Dispatch experience in a driver/fleet environment is required.
• Customer service experience in a similar setting is preferred.
• Well-organized with strong timeliness and communication abilities.

• Problem Resolution: resolve day-to-day issues for drivers and the company.

Job description

As the Fleet Dispatcher , you are expected to execute the day to day activity of your assigned driver fleet. This includes monitoring of the fleet, accurately distributing, receiving and updating information. You would be responsible for identifying and participating in the resolution of issues relating to day to day activity of the driver. You must be well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness in carrying out daily activities.

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Dispatch: Transmitting and receiving of all information relevant to the driver/cartage company performing his/her duties within the Company and customer requirements, and providing drivers with plans and routing as required.

• Satellite and Telephone Management: Handling of all driver related satellite messages or calls within assigned and overflow queues.

• Reporting: This involves the recognition, communication and documentation of situations that should be reviewed by other parties, for information, action and record keeping purposes.

• Problem Resolution: Working on behalf of both the Driver and the Company to immediately resolve any day-to-day issues that may arise.

This position is subject to a 2x2x3 Continental Shift, hours of work are 06:00 to 18:00.
