A career as a Regional Administrative Manager at National Bank Financial Wealth Management (“NBFWM”) means overseeing the management of branch operations, HR related activities and administrative support for the Ontario (ON) region. In this role, you can use your leadership and administration skills to have a positive impact on the organisation.

  • Ensure oversight of all administrative and operational employees within the region to evaluate and provide feedback to improve client service quality and the client experience
  • Establish performance objectives and evaluate the performance of the Associates, Wealth Associates, Branch Administrators and operational employees
  • Support Branch Admins (BAs) for HR inquiries, recruitment, career development, annual performance reviews, departures, provide feedback or corrective action as appropriate and be the first point of contact for HR escalations
  • Maintain and strengthen the relationships with Wealth Associates and Branch Administrators by fostering an open and inclusive environment along with an advisor focused culture
  • Build and maintain an efficient operational and administrative structure in keeping with internal rules and be the primary contact to solve operational and IT escalations
  • Review the monthly BA agendas and organize and lead monthly branch admin calls
  • Help to supervise compliance tasks delegated to the BAs by the RM and implement the mechanisms required to meet internal and regulatory requirements and participate in monthly regional compliance meeting
  • Identify areas of cost control and manage the related activities (review financial statements, apply the associates’ ratio and all projects, initiatives or business intelligence to enable sound expense management)
  • Support head office projects and collaborate with BAs on the various tasks and initiatives
  • Partner with regional coordinator for onboarding coordination and support for the region

Your team

You will report to the Vice President and Regional Manager of NBFWM in Ontario and in this role you will lead a multidisciplinary team consisting of Branch Administrators (BAs), Associates and operational employees, for a total of around 90 direct reports. Our regional management team stands out for its responsiveness, people-focused approach.

We want to contribute to your quality of life by offering a good work life balance. As this role requires travelling to visit the different NBFWM branches within the Ontario region, we will ensure you have flexibility based on your schedule.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Licensed as an Investment Representative (IR) with CSI
  • Willingness to take on complex or challenging tasks to grow and develop
  • Strong relationship manager with leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create workable solutions to complex issues
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Able to mediate and facilitate large groups and communicate effectively with internal and external partners
  • Able to travel within Ontario for regular branch visits
