Job summary

Renaissance Montréal Downtown is seeking a guest services agent to welcome guests, check them in, and explain hotel services including the Marriott Bonvoy program.

You will respond to guest requests with outstanding service, answer calls, coordinate with departments, and process departures; fluent bilingual in French and English is required. Experience in hospitality and working knowledge of Opera PMS and Microsoft Office are assets.

Qualifications

• Training in customer service (asset).
• Significant work experience in customer service in hospitality or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.

Job Description

• Welcome guests upon arrival to check them in;
• Explain hotel services, including the Marriott Bonvoy program;
• Respond to guest requests with outstanding service;
• Answer phone calls and transfer calls to the appropriate department;
• Process guest departures;
• Take room service orders;
• Inform guests about our products and services;
• Coordinate various requests with departments;
• Compile requests and follow up using our computerized system;
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and be capable of performing all other tasks related to this position.

Requirements

• Training in a field related to customer service (asset);
• Significant work experience in customer service in hospitality or a related field;
• Advanced proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, required in order to communicate with our international clientele;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Professional approach and ability to work under pressure;
• Possess initiative and attention to detail;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Marriott programs and Opera software, an asset.
