Job summary

AC Hotel Marriott Montreal Downtown is seeking a dedicated hotel cleaner to ensure rooms meet high standards of cleanliness and comfort for all guests.

You will prepare and maintain guest rooms, clean bathrooms, replace amenities, and report issues to supervisors while delivering discreet, courteous service.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift, flexible schedules including weekends, and fluency in French and/or English to interact with an international clientele.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be at the heart of room cleanliness and comfort, and your main responsibilities will include:

Preparing and Maintaining Guest Rooms:

• Prepare the equipment and products required for cleaning your assigned rooms;

• Perform complete room cleaning, including changing bed linens, dusting, and vacuuming;

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and sanitary fixtures;

• Empty trash bins, replace towels, and replenish amenities;

• Inspect the condition of furniture and equipment;

• Report any irregularities or issues regarding the condition of a room to your supervisor.

Ensuring Service Quality and Guest Satisfaction:

• Follow established work methods, quality standards, and procedures;

• Handle cleaning products and equipment safely;

• Respond to guest needs with discretion, courtesy, and professionalism;

• Deliver exceptional service to contribute to a positive experience for every guest;

• Perform any other related tasks aimed at maintaining excellence in customer service.

Contributing to Hotel Safety and Smooth Operations:

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with various departments;

• Support team members in achieving common goals;

• Report any accident, injury, or unsafe working condition to the supervisor on duty;

• Comply with company policies and procedures;

• Protect company assets and ensure the confidentiality of private information;

• Perform any other related tasks as required by operational needs.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Good physical condition and the ability to stand for extended periods;

• Ability to lift, carry, and move loads of more than 20 kg (44 lbs);

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts;

• Discretion, honesty, and strong attention to detail;

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team;

• Strong prioritization and time management skills;

• Self-motivation, initiative, and versatility;

• Ability to communicate in French and/or English, both orally and in writing, to interact with an international clientele;

• Experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or a similar environment, an asset.
