Job summary

Interfor is seeking a Quality Control Intern in Timmins, Ontario. You will work on-site with experienced professionals, learn practical quality-control skills, and gain exposure to production data and improvement initiatives.

The internship runs May 2027 for 4–8 months, with compensation starting at CAD 3,350 per month and a temporary living allowance for those relocating to the area.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or diploma in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn how quality control supports production of high-quality wood products.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret quality and operational data from the mill.
• Participate in inspections, surveys, and process reviews.
• Assist with quality improvement projects and reporting.

What You’ll Do

• Learn how quality control supports the production of high-quality wood products.

• Assist with quality improvement projects, reporting, and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to support product quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Gain hands-on experience solving real manufacturing challenges while building your analytical and problem-solving skills.
