Job summary

Katasa Groupe + Développement is seeking an Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist to join a small accounting team. You will manage accounts receivable for multiple properties, perform invoicing, collections, and reconciliations, and collaborate with finance and operations to ensure accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in property receivables, is bilingual (French/English), and possesses strong organizational and communication skills to work efficiently within a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in receivables for property management/ownership.
• Bilingual French and English required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Update the resident database daily.
• Enter leases and modifications in the system.
• Handle inquiries via phone or email with various departments and residences.
• Perform monthly invoicing in HOPEM and manual invoicing.
• Record rents and issue statements for Residence managers; follow up on late tenants.
• Make collections and bank deposits; prepare renewal notices.
• Coordinate with directors on residential receivables and commercial accounts.
• Submit files to collections agencies as needed.
• Prepare yearly tables for rent increases per Régie du logement.
• Edit and update weekly reports; assist with payroll processing and GST/QST declarations.
• Carry out bank reconciliations.
