The role focuses on Accounts Receivable, including customer account management, collections, and payment processing, with some month-end support for the wider accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Set up customer accounts, process payments, and maintain accurate customer balances and aging reports.
• Manage collections and proactively follow up on outstanding customer accounts.
• Review payment terms, process credit card transactions, and coordinate bank deposits.
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
• Provide support with Accounts Payable and month-end activities during busy periods.
• Work closely with Sales and Customer Service teams and external customers.

Job description

Our client, a well-established international organization in Burlington, is seeking an adaptable and collaborative Accounting Specialist - AR to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with an Accounts Receivable background who enjoys working with numbers, building relationships across the business, and being part of a supportive, team-oriented workplace with a strong sense of community.

With a primary focus on Accounts Receivable, this role is well suited to someone who has developed a good understanding of customer account management, collections, payment processing, and reconciliations. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, with some additional support required in Accounts Payable and month-end activities.
