Responsibilities

• Deliver propane to Red Deer, AB and surrounding sites.
• Load/unload propane and secure cargo during transit.
• Keep accurate delivery/pickup records and obtain signatures.
• Inform supervisor of delivery/pickup difficulties.
• Notify management of new sales opportunities and sites.
• Double-check deliveries to ensure correct orders.
• Coordinate with dispatch to manage schedule delays.
• Conduct daily safety checks and maintenance inspections.
• Keep trucks clean and presentable at all times.
• Complete regulatory logs and timesheets, including fluid checks.

Perks!Competitive salary, with overtime availableExcellent benefit package with premiums paid by the companyRRSP MatchUniform, safety boots/shoes, safety gear providedSafety-minded organizationContinuous training, learning and development opportunitiesFun-loving work environment with strong social responsibilityWhat You’ll Be DoingDuties and Responsibilities:Deliver propane to various work sites in Red Deer, AB and the surrounding area .Filling propane and loading/unloading for deliveries to customers sites.Ensure propane is secure per company procedure and inspect in transit if necessary.Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.Secure customer signature on contract, if not already signed .Inform supervisor of difficulties with deliveries or pickups.Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites.Double-check deliveries to make sure customers receive exactly what they ordered.Communicate with dispatch if behind schedule, so customers may be notifiedPerform daily preventative maintenance inspections and safety checks to proactively identify and advise of any mechanical issues.Keep the truck in clean and professional condition at all times.Complete daily accurate pre-inspections and post- inspections regulatory logs and timesheets , as well as checking gas, oil and other fluid levels.What You’ll Bring to the TeamQualifications and Requirements:Valid Class 3 or 5 driver's license with air endorsement and a clean or satisfactory drive's abstract (no more than 3 demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request .Previous LPG/propane experience is considered an asset.Prior commercial driving experience is required .Comfortable with working outdoors year-round and driving in varying weather / road conditions .Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods . Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs.Highly safety-focused and professional; take pride in your vehicle and your responsibility as a driver .Available and willing to work overtime when required , particularly during peak seasonal demand (winter months) .Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.Excellent problem-solving and organization skills.Strong team-player with effective communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues.Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as with a team.Ability to identify and describe mechanical issues on the truck/trailer.Very customer-oriented with a professional and courteous attitude.#SJ1Want to learn more about career opportunities at Cooper Equipment Rentals?
