Job description

Human Resources Services is currently looking to staff the position of Program Coordinator (Training) for a 6-month term.

This recruitment and selection process is restricted to employees of the House of Commons Administration.

In this role, the person is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and coordinating a wide range of initiatives designed to support the engagement of House of Commons administration employees. This role also includes coordinating various learning and organizational development activities and programs to enhance employee growth and development.

This person works closely with other team members and stakeholders within the House of Commons to ensure that all initiatives and programs align with organizational goals and objectives. This includes collaborating to design engaging activities that foster a positive work environment, promote employee well-being, and enhance overall job satisfaction.

Education :
  • Post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Communications, Project or Event Management, or a related discipline OR a combination of education and experience.
Experience :
  • Experience planning, developing, and coordinating programs and/or initiatives, preferably related to employee engagement, organizational development, or human resources;
  • Experience organizing and managing events, workshops, and/or learning and training initiatives for organizational development and engagement;
  • Experience in developing strong working relationships with clients and with various stakeholders;
  • Experience preparing communications and reports for diverse audiences with clarity and relevance;
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) to create, maintain, and update databases, as well as to generate reports, statistics, and communication materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, identify solutions, and resolve problems effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Superior organizational skills, including the ability to effectively plan, prioritize and coordinate work while managing multiple responsibilities.
