Job Description:

Skretting Vancouver is looking for Production Technician (Seasonal) role for 3 months duration.
This role has the potential to become permanent after the seasonal period

Operational tasks:

  • Executes a broad range of operational activities / processes (such as discharge, load, transport, clean, label, operate all equipment), in order to execute / manage parts / stages in production, contributing to a safe, effective and efficient production processes.

Reporting:

  • Logs data and information on production orders and activities in the appropriate logbooks / systems in order to have a complete administration and insight in the state and progress of production orders.

Continuous improvement:

  • Signals deviations in current processes, techniques and/or systems and flags opportunities for improvement with supervisor, in order to continuously optimize and improve operational (work) processes, tools and systems.

  • May participate in improvement projects.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Works in compliance with all relevant (personal as well as food) safety, environmental and quality regulations and procedures, as well as operational standards.

  • Promotes awareness on SHEQ, signals potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations.

Good housekeeping:

  • Ensures the work area is left clean and in a safe working condition and that there are no hazardous situations. Maintains the appearance of the production line(s), working area(s) and production site.

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

  • At least 3+ years of experience with understanding of production, packaging, machine operation, safety standards in the manufacturing operations or production environment

Expectation from the Role:

  • 12-hour shift- 3 days or nights a week. Weekly rotating shifts.

  • This role has the potential to become permanent after the seasonal period.

  • Hand on with all production, packaging activities

  • Good knowledge of the safety standards, ability to signal potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations
