Job summary

Cascades in Winnipeg is seeking a Process Lead to drive standardization and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You'll define CL and RCO processes, train operators, and work with planners to optimize production while ensuring quality and safety. A degree in Industrial Tech or Engineering and 3+ years in paper manufacturing are preferred. Cascades offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Define standard processes for centerlines (CL) and rapid changeovers (RCO); ensure proper execution and review improvements.
• Improve standards for CL and RCO and train operators on best practices.
• Calibrate centerline and document SOPs.
• Collect and analyze data on quality and production variances; create action plans to mitigate variance.
• Collaborate with CI manager and project manager on large or small projects.

Your Role

As Process Lead, you'll take on real challenges that bring out your full potential. Your scope includes:

• Define standard processes for managing centerlines (CL) and rapid changeovers (RCO), ensure that processes are executed properly, and review & improve processes
• Continuously improve standards and processes related to CL and RCO and train and coach operators on best practices
• Utilize centerline to troubleshoot and ensure correct base condition
• Work with production planners to optimize production schedule and grade changes
• Calibrate centerline and document management ofstandard operating procedures (SOP)
• Collects and analyzes data on quality and productionvariances and creates action plan to mitigate variance
• Support large / small scale projects / modifications in area including machine parts design, in collaboration with the CI manager and the project manager

• Experience & understanding of Lean Production System principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering or other related degree or a vocational certificate/diploma. A combination of education and lean manufacturing experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years' experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a focus on continuous improvement. Preferably in a paper manufacturing operation.
